Unleash Proven Scrum And Efficiencies With Mastery
Empower your Scrum Teams to achieve peak performance with my Scrum Master guidance.
Some background
A breakdown of my experiences with pricing, and receiving payments.
Over the years I have worked as a full-time employee. I found the perks enjoyable.
I was a contractor for numerous years, without perks, higher earnings, with a no work, no pay policy. I budgeted for all expenses. Watching and recording time.
In recent years, I started working as a freelancer, on a pseudo-retainer basis. Like contracting, I budget for all expenses.
Pricing and budgeting is crucial in your decision-making
I designed this page to be transparent and informative.
Pseudo-retainer basis for two simple reasons
It removes the hour-by-hour recording from what I liked doing, viz, delivering product value. And the stakeholder who I partner with has a pre-agreed budget for the charge-out fee. We change the fee with mutual agreement as and when required. The fee changes are not taken lightly.
We work in two-week Sprints
Based on the Scrum Sprint, I charge my fee fortnightly. See Scrum.org What is a Sprint?
Scrum Sprint is how I work and charge, even when it’s working with the CEO. This way of working sets achievable increments and removes the chaos from what is planned. The result is a high level of predictability. All parties get stability from working predictably with its built-in benefits and psychology.
Are you a CEO feeling the weight of responsibility?
Running a company takes relentless drive and strategic thinking. Between endless tasks and constant demands, it's easy to lose sight of the bigger picture. That's where Emmanuel's CEO Efficiency Specialist service comes in.
When the Scrum Team consists of you, the CEO, and myself, the same principles apply. We are thus a Scrum Team of two members.
Pricing and Planning
We preagree on the number of Sprints, and the related fee.
It works like this. When I start working with you, there is an assessment and initial implementation period. As we assess, we implement MVP (Minimum Viable Product) Increments and deliver product value from the first day.
- Scrum Assessment (3 Sprints): Ideal for existing teams and teams new to Scrum, this package provides a solid foundation with initial setup, Sprint planning, and Daily Scrum facilitation. We get your team up and running quickly. And assess as we go, while continuously implementing MVP Increments. We get to know each other.
- Scrum Accelerator (6 Sprints): Take delivering product value by the Scrum Team to the next level. This package follows the Assessment, along with ongoing coaching and refinement. Continuously optimizing your processes, workflow, and documentation SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures.) These are some of the activities taking place.
- Scrum Cadence (6+ Sprints): Ensure long-term delivery of product value, while implementing MVP Increments as identified during the Scrum Sprint with this package. Benefit from continuous coaching, backlog refinement, grooming, Increment right-sizing, and maximizing team performance.
Transparency
These ceremonies and activities are included in each Sprint:
